This week in science #4

What we did in Science.


This week in science we another mission that my team was assigned to do which was about nitrogen. And in that mission we had to do alot of math which was very difficult because after we divided the numbers we had to round it up. TWIS ( This Week In Science ) we also did data day #2 which was to measure the plants and see how they were progressing. Just like to days ago we did a plant investigation write up #1 and #2 . In plant investigation write up # 1 we actually wrote what we were going to acomplish for the day. And in plant investigation #2 we also wrote what we were going to do but also we started to do the plant investigation report with my team mates. 


What we learned

This week in science I learned how to keep track of the plants with me team mates ( Elisabeth,christine,carlos ), But eventually the plants died. Also I learned that not only did the plants died but I learned how to do a data chart or digital graph chart however you want to call it, on the computers. One moment I had in science class was when we first planted the brassicarapa seeds into our second plant investigation it made me wonder how are they going to grow in just 14 days ?

What we did this week in science.

This week in science we started planting the brassicarapas for our plant investigation # 2. We also observed the plants and drew pictures. Than we were given a secret mission to do which was go around and ask our classmates how many siblings they have, than we had to draw a bar graph represents how many siblings do we have. Also this week in science we did hypothesis and procedure which was to write hypothesis from the testible questions that we chose.

What I learned.

This week in science I learned that brassicarapas plants grow within 14 days. Also this week in science learned that a hypothesis is  a statement that predicts the outcome of an experiement. Also I learned that brassicarapas are common vegetables, and does not become diseased with fungi, bacteria or viruses resitant .

This Week In Science #2

What We Did This Week In Science : 


Lesson 13 : Testify. In this lesson we played with poppers for at least 10mins ( pre warm-up ) and then we learned new vocabulary like Testible question : A question can be tested through observation. Independent variable ( IV ): A variable that scientist changes on purpose. ( known as changed variable ) and Dependent variable ( DV ) A variable that can be measured . Lesson 14 : plant investigation #2 we did some research on brassicas rapa  plants which was to find 3 facts about it . Lesson 15 : plant investigation #2 experiment setup. yesterday we had to write 3-5 questions about if we had to change anything in our brassica rapas plants that we planted yesterday what would it be ? 


What We Learned : 


This week we learned about how brassica rapa plants and how it grows fast like in 14 days. and we learned about independent variables and dependent variables and how they are diffrent from each other. Also I learned what a testible question is.
