This week in Science #15 ( final )

What I Did.

Building the tower
almost finished :)
This Week in Science we did a marshmallow challenge where we had to get back into our old groups from the beginning of the school year and re-do our marshmallow but as a milestone. Doing the Marshmallow challenge was hard and easy at the same time. It was hard because we could not communicate with our group members at first so we had to find a way to communicate with each other. But then it was easy because when we did the marshmallow challenge the second time it was more easier because we got to communicate. If  you look to the left and right you will see the marshmallow challenge pictures. Also This Week In Science we did a end of the year video blogpost called This Year In Science 10th grade intro video where we had make a video introducing our selves to the 10th grade teachers. For me making the video was a little hard for me because I kept messing up.

What I learned

What I Learned This Week In Science was that doing the Marshmallow challenge as a milestone was harder than before because when I got back into my old group I kind of forgot how to do the marshmallow challenge because its been so long that we havent done one. And also from the marshmallow challenge I learned that building a tower especially the one I did with my group was hard to make it stay in place. This Week In Science I learned that making a 10th grade intro video is not so hard because all you are doing is introducing yourselves to 10th grade teachers and telling them about alittle bit about yourselves. But for me making the video was so hard because I kept messing up, I was alittle bit nervous, and I didnt know what to say so it was a big process. Making a video is not all about being perfect is just about being yourself  and making it a great quality.

This Week in Science #13

My Spiders habitat. :)

Question:

If we sealed the the tanks and removed the tanks what would happen is that the spiders would die and there would be no Oxygen for them to breath. And the only thing that would probably be left is Carbon Dioxide which is dangerous for the spiders. Carbon Dioxide means heavy colorless gas ( CO2 ) which could dissolve into water to form acid. Photosynthesis is a chemical compound that has radiant energy like for example light. So Photosynthesis produces Glucose  into the plants by using water, air , etc...

This Week In Science #11

What I Did.

This Week In Science on monday during science class we had to write about we knew about plant cells, carbon cycle, water cycle, producer, ecosystem, and photosynthesis. Also this week in science on tuesday afternoon we went to seward park to pick out things that we needed to design our tanks for our spider. With the things that me and my partner Zulfiya picked out I thought that our tank looked like a mini rain forest with the leaves, branches, worms, and other things that we found in the park. One thing that zulfiya did was take pictures of the important parts of the ecosystem.

What I Learned.

What I Learned was that the things in our enviroment like plants, animals, trees, etc.. are important to our ecosystem. And also what I learned was that while reseacrhing about cellar spiders is that they are found all over the world except antartica. Also I learned that the cellar spiders are commonly called granddaddy long legs spider, Daddy long legs spider, daddy long legger or vibrating spider. Also I learned that the cellar spider family is pholcidae, its kingdom is animalia, its class is arachnida, the order of it is aranae, its phylum is arthropoda and its suborder is araneomorphae. Also the reason why its not found in antartica is because its too cold.

This Month in Science #10

This Month in Science

This Month in Science while Jamie was out, we watched a clip about the sewage about how the waste goes into the water and it pollutes it. Than we had visitors from the human impact institute and what we did was we made a list of examples of how we use energy, transportation, waste, water. Also this month in science we created a survey where we had to go outside in the neighborhood and ask people questions about transportation, waste, energy, and water. It kind of cool because we got to go out and explore the neighborhood but also we were surprised because the ways act when other people ask questions. We also tested out materials like hairdryers, chargers etc.. to see how much energy it uses. From what we tested we noticed it uses it a lot. Also last week in science we had the Human Impact institute come back to visit us and we got into groups and what was to finish our slogans for our T-shirt designs.

Human Impact Ad Campaign

well my drawing is based on the good and bad about the future. Like the side that is colored in black is when the world was polluted with the trees burned out. And the one with the Blue colored in is the good which means how the future would be if the world was never polluted.
